We are proud to announce we will be offering a Sensory Fun Nights @ The REC. Activities will be tailored to children with specific physical, developmental, behavioral/emotional and sensory needs. This event aims to provide a special event geared toward the special needs population which allows for them to participate in such a way that they are best served and satisfied.
- There will be 3 rooms (2 classrooms and a gymnasium) filled with various sensory friendly activities, including a calming space
- Each night, participants will have the option of taking part in the making of their own special craft keepsake item
- Service animals. (accommodations can be made for those with aversions to dogs)
- Messy play encouraged so dress accordingly
- Experienced staff will be on hand to supervise all areas.
- Each participant will have the option of having a peer partner guide them from activity to activity.
All ages are welcome. Space is limited.
We require registration for a particular timeslot to ensure participants are spaces so no overcrowding occurs. Friends and family of all participants are welcome and encouraged to join in on this fun-filled sensory friendly experience.
In December we will be offering a Sensory Friendly Santa’s Workshop. Participants will be able to meet with out signing Santa, given gifts, sing carols, and all the other jolly goodness the holidays bring.
