Our summer visual arts course will feature bright, colorful, exciting art from artists around the world.
Each class will feature an artist from a different region, culture or ethnic background.
We will review their art style and then spend time creating art inspired by the artist. Students will get to use their choice of material and receive as much guidance as they require to create fine artwork that they are proud of.
Our classes will culminate with an art exhibition, complete with an opening celebration where families can see the student work on display. Students can share what they learned and explained their pieces to interested guests.
They will then get to take their framed masterpieces with them to hang in their own home gallery.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE.

MEET THE TEACHER
Tracy Rose is a visual arts teacher beginning her 20th year of teaching for the Buffalo Public Schools this September.
She has experience teaching grades pre-k through eight, with extensive background in project-based learning and cross-curricular lesson planning.
Her focus is on creating culturally responsive lessons, in which students create and learn about art from diverse backgrounds so that all students feel valued and represented.
Mrs. Rose loves to make art accessible and fun, so that the love of creating follows her students into adulthood. Mrs. Rose lives in North Tonawanda with her husband, Paul, their two daughters, Ariana and Isabella, and their dogs Gracie and Juniper.
